Leadership Sarpy

The mission of Leadership Sarpy is to develop leaders who will participate in the growth of the county and promote its development. The Leadership Sarpy program consists of eight sessions, generally meeting on the third Tuesday of each month. The program begins in September and concludes with Graduation in May. The first session consists of a two-day program with an overnight retreat.

Legacy Projects

Sarpy CASA Golf Outing - CASA Volunteers are ordinary people who do extraordinary work, spending time with children, talking to parents, monitoring services and advocating for the right of every child to a safe and permanent home. This Legacy project set up a yearly golf tournament as a way to help fund this program.

Legacy Veterans Garden - The idea was to build a Veteran's Memorial in Sarpy County. At the Eastern Nebraska Veterans Home, which is a brand new building off the corner of Capehart and 40th Street, they had planned on creating a garden for residents to relax but ran out of funding. They had a lot of outdoor space so it was the most logical place to put the memorial. The team did not just set out to provide the idea to others to build it, instead they took on the challenge of raising money and building the memorial themselves. They have teamed up with the American Legion and CMs Custom Lawn to make their dream a reality.
