As the official public relations arm and welcoming committee of the Chamber, this is one of the most important volunteer opportunities for Chamber members. Ambassadors assist in maintaining open lines of communication between the Chamber, its new and ongoing members, and others in the local business community.
Helping New Businesses
The Ambassador Council through ribbon cutting ceremonies officially welcomes new businesses opening in Sarpy County. New members receive special guidance through the Mentor program, which is a service of the Ambassador Council. This program includes phone calls and personal visits from an Ambassador from time to time.
Working to Improve the Business Community
Ambassadors visit existing member businesses throughout the year to help the Chamber stay focused on the issues that affect Sarpy County’s growth and overall business opportunities. Both the business community and the Chamber itself benefit from this work, as it provides a stronger and healthier Chamber with a wide base of sustaining members and a convenient way for local business owners to voice their opinions, ideas and concerns.
