ACCESSbank Growing Community Presence  With Bank of Nebraska Acquisition

OMAHA, Nebraska (Feb. 8, 2017)  –  ACCESSbank announced it is expanding its local presence in Omaha, La Vista, and Bellevue, after entering into a formal agreement to acquire the Bank of Nebraska. The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approval, will offer customers access to additional bank locations and expanded product services. Bank of Nebraska customers will continue receiving the excellent service they have come to expect from their community bank as a part of the ACCESSbank brand.

“This isn’t so much of an acquisition as it is growing our family,” said Patrick Corrigan, president and CEO of ACCESSbank. “Our teams complement each other in many ways, such as the tools and experience we use to assist our customers. Plus, we share similar values, which include offering premium customer service, building solid business relationships and providing meaningful contributions to our communities.”

Throughout this transition, ACCESSbank will take a customer-centric approach to minimize the impact to customers’ banking experience. Additionally, customers of both banks can expect to continue working with the same familiar bank personnel.

“Bank of Nebraska’s employees will remain in support of our growing organization,” Corrigan said. “They have a proven legacy of understanding customers’ needs, and we hope to enhance the customer experience with our larger lending capacity, cash management tools and online banking services.”

“Customer service will remain our primary focus during this process,” said Denny Hogan, chairman of the board for Bank of Nebraska. “For the near term, ACCESSbank and Bank of Nebraska do not anticipate any big changes to our organizations, so customers can continue doing business as usual.”

Regulatory approval could occur within the next 90 days. Once approved, the two banks plan to merge operations for optimal efficiency and client convenience.

“This is a historic transition and good match for both banks,” Hogan said. “Our legacy of providing quality customer service and relationship-based banking will continue in the combined organization.”
