Toastmasters Club
If you would like to perfect your presentation skills, organize your thoughts, and speak with greater confidence & effectiveness, consider joining Toastmasters! The group meets at the Sarpy Chamber office (PayPal Conference Room) the first and third Wednesdays of each month from 8:00-9:00a.m. For more information, contact the chamber at 339-3050.
 
Toastmasters will have an open house on September 17th at 8:00a.m. at the Sarpy Chamber. This is open to members and the public.
Get Involved in this Elite Leadership Development Program!
Since 1996, there have been 176 individuals graduate from
Leadership Sarpy. It is an extensive program to increase professional growth, leadership skills and community involvement. Serious-minded business leaders are invited to apply for the 14th annual Leadership Sarpy class.  Participants will be involved with city, county and state government, communications and leadership programs and economic development..

August 13, 5-7 p.m.- All Chambers Together, Strategic Air and Space Museum in Ashland. Free if you register. $5 at the door.
 
August 21, 7:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - Sarpy County Economic Summit at the La Vista Conference Center.  Lunch with Governor Heineman.
 
September 4, 5:00 p.m. - Ribbon cutting at Gallup, 2206 Longo Drive, Bellevue (behind SAC Federal Credit Union on Cornhusker Road). Joint with the Bellevue Chamber.
 
September 9,  7:30-9:00 a.m. - Learn More! Session on Healthcare Programs & Wellness by Benefit Professionals.  Sponsor: Centris Federal Credit Union.
 
September 15, 4:00 p.m - Ribbon cutting at the Texas Roadhouse, 72nd & Highway 370, Shadow Lake Towne Center, Papillion.
 
October 2 - Annual Awards Banquet, including Small Business Awards. Embassy Suites La Vista Conference Center. Nomination forms available online.

  • Midlands Community Foundation is donating all proceeds from the organization's 2008 Reflection Ball on November 15 to One World Community Health Center, Inc. The non-profit community health center provides a full-range of comprehensive, quality health care to the underserved.
