Education
Sarpy County is well known for its excellent educational facilities. A spirit of family and community involvement with schools exists in all communities within the county. In addition, there are several postsecondary educational opportunities within the county and in nearby Omaha.
Sarpy County and the surrounding Omaha metro area have a well-educated population. 84.3% of metro Omaha’s adults 25 years and older are high school graduates (national average is just 75.2%.) And over 22.5% of the area’s adults 25 years and older are college graduates (national average is 20.3%.)

Healthcare
Sarpy County residents have peace of mind knowing there are several nearby medical facilities with some of the most advanced technology and experienced healthcare providers in the nation. Midlands Hospital in Papillion, part of the Alegent Health network that is one of the top 20 healthcare systems in the U.S., and the University of Nebraska Medical Center both offer local expertise in a variety of health care fields including cardiovascular, orthopedics, oncology, surgical services, maternity services and emergency room services.
In addition to excellent hospital and emergency care, Sarpy County is also home to a large number of private practice physicians and clinics specializing in all areas of medicine.
