Chalco
Recreation Area at Wehrspann Lake
Chalco Hills Recreation Area at Wehrspann Lake offers visitors fishing, biking,
hiking and jogging. The area includes more than seven miles of asphalt and
concrete trails, as well as a wood chip nature trail. Many enjoy watching birds
and picnicking or relaxing at one of the many picnic sites.
Wehrspann Lake
This scenic lake is surrounded by the Chalco Hills Recreation Area and offers
concrete biking/hiking trails, a nature trail, an arboretum, a waterfowl
observation platform, a fishing pier and picnic areas. Boating is allowed
on the lake but limited to 5 mph with no wake. Sledding, ice-skating and
cross-country skiing are permitted in the winter months

Fontenelle Forest Nature Center
Located in Bellevue, the Fontenelle Forest Nature Center is comprised of 1,400
acres of forests and wetlands with 16 miles of beautiful walking trails for observing
the area’s many varieties of wildlife and bird species. The center also
hosts many children’s activities throughout the year.

Keystone Trail/Bellevue Loop Trail
As one of the longest and busiest recreational trails in the metro area, the
Keystone/Bellevue Loop Trail has diverse character. The trail is paved and
flat with the exception of its underpasses, which allow users to safely cross
streets. To the north, the trail passes through residential areas, the heart
passes through mostly industrial areas, and the south portion passes through
agricultural areas.
Keystone Trail begins at 87th and Templeton Drive. The Bellevue Loop Trail begins at Hwy. 370 and Capehart Road. Numerous trailheads are available for riders to access the trail system.

Nebraska Crossing Factory Outlets is a collection of outlet stores that is
a destination for shoppers around the region. The center houses more than
30 name-brand discount stores including Mikasa, Osh Kosh, Corning Revere,

Soaring Wings Vineyard
Soaring Wings Vineyard in Springfield is a family-run operation with 5.5 acres
of grapes at the winery site. An additional 35 acres are planned over the
next few years. The winery hosts many events throughout the year including
live music, festivals and tastings and is open for tours.

Sarpy County Fair and Rodeo
Experience a real Sarpy County tradition each summer at the annual County Fair

Walnut Creek Recreation Area
Sarpy County's newest recreation area offers an excellent venue for exploring
the natural beauty of the area. Many enjoy the camping, fishing, hiking,
biking, picnicking, or simply taking in the scenery at this beautiful recreation
area in central Sarpy County. New equestrian trails are also available for
horse owners.

Weiss Sculpture Garden
Located in Springfield, Weiss Studios and Gardens is an outdoor botanical retreat
and art gallery. The gardens are designed to showcase the creations of nearly
a dozen artists and feature garden-type sculptures. All of the pieces displayed
in the gardens are for sale. In warmer weather visitors can also enjoy the
beautiful blooms planted each year, though visitors are welcome year ‘round.

West Papio Trail
West Papio trail is one of the most scenic trails in the area and runs 2.5
miles from Lincoln and Laredo Roads southeast towards 72nd and 1st streets
in Papillion. The concrete path winds along West Papio Creek through a number
of new subdivisions and links Papillion City Park, Halleck park, and Papio
Bay park.
