Papillion, NE – Papillion La Vista Community Schools Foundation proudly announces Bill Gess as the honorary starter for the 38th Annual Swing for Kids Golf Tournament.
Papillon resident and retired Colonel, USAF, Bill Gess is a strong advocate for local public education. He volunteered countless hours over many decades to serve PLCS students, families and staff in a variety of different roles. He was an elected member of the PLCS Board of Education, he served on the Foundation Board, and helped lead many successful Community Bond Campaign committees. Bill and his wife Donna are proud parents and grandparents of both Monarch and Titan graduates and were honored as a couple with the PLCS Foundation “Community Booster” award in 2016.
The Swing for Kids Golf Tournament is a beloved annual fundraiser that brings together golfers, sponsors, and community members to support Papillion La Vista students. Boyd Jones is this year’s presenting sponsor. Held at Tiburon Golf Club, over 200 golfers will hit the course at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 11th.
