Fontenelle Forest hosts guided hikes every month. These hikes offer you the experience of hiking wrapped with education and passion for the forest. You can experience the beauty of summer through the wildflowers, listen to the quiet as the sun sets, experience night life in the forest, or even view stars.

Ever wanted to listen to the quiet of the Forest when the sun sets? Or wondered what forest life comes out when the sun lowers? Grab your hiking shoes and find out during our Sunset Hike!
This will be a naturalist-led guided hike through easy-to-moderate terrain. The hike will be 1.5 hours long, starting at 6:30 PM and ending at 8:00 PM. Participants will meet outside on Dennis Plaza (behind the Nature Center). Event is $5 for members and $15 for non-members. Registration is required. Members must sign in to receive discount.
Summer Wildflower Hike

Come experience the beauty of summer wildflowers at Camp Brewster! The hike will mostly stay by the prairie trails while we browse for summer wildflowers. Keep your eyes open for Goldenrod, Common Milkweed, Sunflowers, Compass Plant, and much more! This guided hike will be led by plant enthusiast and longtime volunteer Eric Scholar, this hike is perfect for those looking to expand their knowledge on the flora of Fontenelle Forest! ). Event is $5 for members and $15 for non-members. Registration is required. Members must sign in to receive discount.
