• Family Fun at the Forest

    Finding family friendly fun can be tough, let alone affordable family friendly fun.  Enter Fontenelle Forest!  Join us for a fun-filled family-friendly evening learning about Nebraska’s native animals. Each month’s session will focus on different types of animals and the habitats they call home. Meet some of our educational raptors and critters up close, plus enjoy activities and crafts.
     

    DATES: Dates listed below.
    TIME: 5:30 – 6:30 P.M.
    LOCATION: Fontenelle Forest Nature Center
    MINIMUM CAPACITY: 10
    MAXIMUM CAPACITY: 30
    PROGRAM FEE: $5 for members; $15 for non-members. MEMBERS MUST SIGN IN TO RECEIVE DISCOUNT.

    March 3
    Hawk Talk
    Join us for a Hawk Talk. Meet our educational hawks up close. Some hawks migrate as far away as Argentina. Have fun joining in on a migration activity.
     
    April 7
    Slithering Snakes
    Meet some of the Forest’s educational snakes and make a snake craft to take home. Weather permitting, we will go on a hike to look for snakes and their homes.
     
    May 19
    Fantastic Falcons
    Meet the fastest animal on the planet up close and personal. Paint a plaster track to take home.
     
    September 8
    Terrific Turtles
    Meet Beatrice, Benedict, and Digger our educational ornate box turtles. Make a turtle craft to take home.
