State of Nebraska COVID-19 Vaccination Plan

With the first vaccines arriving as early as the week of December 13, the state is filing a more detailed update to its distribution plan to the CDC Friday. Expect this plan to include information about storage capabilities and regional distribution.

Vaccinations will be issued in a phased approach using the existing Vaccines for Children channels. Phase 1A includes about 90,000 healthcare professionals across the state, with the addition of EMS responders. Phase 1B prioritizes residents in care facilities, higher risk individuals, critical workforce and vulnerable or congregate populations. All plans are subject to revision based on ongoing CDC recommendations.
