Turner Construction has a long-standing record supporting the communities in the areas where we live and work.  We actively look for opportunities to add value to both the personal and professional lives of those in our community.  Continuing our commitment, Turner is offering the Hardhat in Hand program for High school graduates wanting to enter into the building industry.

The Hardhat in Hand program is a collaboration of Turner, Metropolitan Community College, and Heartland Workforce Center.  Together we aim to give young adults, ages 18 – 30, an alternative to the traditional post-secondary education model.  In this, our pilot session, twenty participants will be part of an eight week earn while you learn program that will help them get started on the Skilled Trades career path that best fits them.

    The Program: (June 6th – August 15th)
    • Offers students 18 college credit hours in basic construction education.
    • Three nationally recognized certifications.
    • Hourly wage while they are in class.
    • On-the-Job training match with an employer to lead to employment.

We have included flyers and handouts for the Information Sessions and Interview day.  Please join our efforts by passing this information along to students, parents, and career counselors.
