    The Papillion Creative Arts Academy is a place for children and youth to learn and explore the arts in an encouraging and positive environment.  

    At PCAA we celebrate and nurture creative expression as a way to honor the gifts of beauty, imagination, and joy that each of us have been given!
     
    2022 Fall Semester
    Tuesday Nights @ St. Paul's UMC
    August 23rd -- October 25th 
    Registration Fee --  $100 per class or $150 for two classes (*Same Student)

     
    Music & Movement -- Preschool & Kindergarten (Tuesdays at 5pm)
       In the Music & Movement class students will learn about how music can shape the way we feel and the way we move.  This will be a basic introduction to dance and will help students build their confidence and develop skills for working with their peers. At the end of the semester students will share what they have learned with a public performance.

    Page to Stage: Acting Class -- Grade 1-5 (Tuesdays at 5pm)
            In the Page to Stage: Acting Class students will learn how they can use their body, voice, and imagination to help develop characters for the stage.  They will also learn about stage directions, auditioning, and best practices for memorizing lines.  At the end of the semester students will bring their characters from the pages of their script to the stage for you to see!

    Behind the Lens: Photography -- Grades 6-12 (Tuesdays at 5pm)
           In the Behind the Lens: Photography class students will use their own cell phone cameras to capture the world around them.  Students will focus on a different skill or theme each week and will then learn about best practices for editing.  At the end of the semester students will showcase their work in a community exhibit at St. Paul's UMC.
     
    Improv 101 -- Grades 5-8 (Tuesdays at 6pm)
           In the Improv 101 Class students will learn about the basics of improvisation and will begin to develop their skills for creating scenes and characters.  This class will be fast paced and fun -- a perfect fit for anyone who loves to perform and think outside the box!  At the end of the semester students will share what they have learned with an interactive public performance.

    Art Exploration: Painting, Drawing, and Pottery -- Grades 1-5 (Tuesdays at 6pm)
           In the Art Exploration class students will explore their artistic side through painting, drawing, and pottery!  This class will allow students to experiment and build skills in each of these areas.  At the end of the semester students will showcase their artwork for the public.

    Liturgical Dance -- Grades 6-12 (Tuesdays at 6pm)
           In the Liturgical Dance class students will build their liturgical dance skills as well as their skills for working with their peers.  During the semester students will work together to create a performance piece to be shared at the end-of-semester showcase and maybe even during worship on a Sunday morning at St. Paul's UMC.
