    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Install fiber optic EMT / ENT cabling pathways, CAT 6, and fiber, into facilities following industry and company standards in commercial buildings. 

    • Test light levels in newly installed or relocated fiber in accordance with established procedures and company standards. 

    • Keep EMT/ENT/ PVC pathways secured while maintaining company and safety standards. 

    • Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting fiber-optic and low voltage pathways  

    • Ability to lift approx. 60 pounds safely. 

    • Identify, track, and remove abandoned conduit pathways when needed. 

    • Be able to work in various environments including outdoors in varying degrees of weather working at heights on ladders or lifts, and in small, confined spaces. 

    • Operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, and scissor lifts while following industry and company standards. Ability to stand on ladders for periods of time. 

    • Record time and materials used to use mobile and computer applications. 

    • Be willing to develop in-depth knowledge of National Building Codes and standards in multiple markets across several states. 

    • Be willing to develop strong customer service skills. 

    • Aid outside market BSCT teams as needed.  

     

     

    Note: All tools, materials and work vehicle provided by company 

     

    This role will be based out of the Omaha, NE area - if you are located outside of the Omaha area, you will be expected to travel at least 50% of the time.

     

     

     

     

    EDUCATION:  

    • High school diploma or equivalent. 

     

    EXPERIENCE: 

    • 2-3 years of construction experience preferred but not required 

    • Ability to learn and grasp new concepts on the job 

    • Clean MVR to drive ALLO Communications vehicles 

    • Ability to work overtime on a voluntary basis 

     

     

    COMPETENCIES – SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: 

    • Bring a professional attitude, be self-motivated, and have a goal-oriented work ethic. 

    • Good written and oral communication skills. 

    • Ability to travel outside of home market for extended periods of time based on project and business needs. 

    • Valid driver license and good MVR driving record to drive company vehicles. 

    • Ability to learn to read site survey notes, blueprints, follow directions, and have good time management skills. 

    • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor. 

    • Display prompt attendance to work and scheduled job sites. 

    • Travel responsibilities will mainly be day travel.
