• Gretna Schools Foundation Announces Annual Game Changer Gala

Gretna, NE – The Gretna Public Schools Foundation is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Game Changer Gala, an event supporting the Gretna Public School District’s Mental & Behavioral Health Program.

This year’s fundraising goal is $250,000, and community support is essential to making it possible. The Foundation is honored to recognize this year’s Honorary Chairs, Jim and Natalie Gregory. The Gregorys have proudly called Gretna home since 1985 and have spent decades investing their time, talents, and hearts into the people and schools of this community. Their leadership and dedication to students, faculty, staff, and families across the District have been felt for generations.

Through strong partnerships among past and present Honorary Chairs, the Gretna Public Schools Foundation, the District, and Complete Wellness, the Gala helps ensure every Gretna student and staff member has access to the mental health support they need to thrive.

The Foundation’s goal is simple but powerful: to ensure every student has access to the care they need—whether through early intervention, crisis support, or ongoing services. The District utilizes the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework, a structured approach designed to meet the academic, behavioral, and emotional needs of all students. Tier One supports all students through the classroom curriculum, such as Character Strong. Tier Two provides small- group interventions, while Tier Three offers one-on-one support with a Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMHP).

The Gretna Public Schools Foundation invites the community and Sarpy County to join in supporting vital mental health services for students and staff. Donations of auction items are still being accepted. For more information on donations, contact Lizzy Belew at ebelew@gpsne.org.
