    POSITION SUMMARY
    The Membership Investment Manager is responsible for building strong relationships within the business community while promoting the programs, services, events, and opportunities offered through the Sarpy County Chamber of Commerce to help promote member businesses. This position focuses on member engagement, retention, networking, and professional relationship development.

    This role provides hands-on experience working with businesses of all sizes and industries while developing skills in networking, business development, event coordination, membership engagement, communication, and community relations. The Membership Investment Manager will learn how to identify business needs, connect members to chamber resources, and advocate for the growth and success of the local business community.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    Membership Investment & Retention

    • Meet with current chamber members to build relationships and understand business needs
    • Maintain consistent communication with assigned members and ensure a positive member experience
    • Promote chamber benefits, programs, sponsorships, marketing opportunities, educational programming, and events to support business growth
    • Assist members in identifying opportunities for engagement and growth within the chamber
    • Maintain a minimum chamber retention goal of 90%
    • Manage any assigned chamber groups
    Business Development & Networking
    • Develop professional relationships with business owners, executives, and community leaders
    • Conduct one-on-one membership visits with current businesses to share opportunities such as; networking events, educational programs, marketing opportunities and other programs the chamber offers
    • Advocate for member businesses and help connect them with chamber resources and opportunities
    Event & Program Support
    Assist with planning, coordination, promotion, registration, and facilitation of chamber programs and events including:
    • Business After Hours
    • Coffee & Contacts
    • Group Events
    • Annual Cookie Drop
    • And others
    Community Outreach
    • Deliver relocation packets to area relators and businesses
    • Deliver welcome baskets to new businesses
    • Support community outreach and member recognition initiatives
      • Cookie Drop
      • Golden Ticket Event
    Administrative & Database Management
    • Utilize chamber database systems and office tools to maintain accurate member information and engagement records
    • Track member interactions, event participation, and follow-up activities
    • Assist with reporting and other administrative responsibilities as assigned
    QUALIFICATIONS
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
    • Comfortable speaking with professionals at all levels of business
    • Organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and events simultaneously
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
    • Professional demeanor with strong customer service skills
    • Experience with CRM/database systems, event coordination, sales, or membership organizations preferred
    • Interest in business development, networking, community engagement, and/or economic development preferred

    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
    • Salary range: $45,000–$60,000 based on experience
    • Full-time benefits package available
    • Additional bonus and compensation opportunities may be available based on performance
