Join Village Roots for a Day on the Course That Supports Local Families

On June 5, Pacific Springs Golf Club will be filled with friends, friendly competition, and a lot of time outside. But there’s something more behind the day. Village Roots is hosting our 4th Annual Golf Tournament, bringing together local businesses and community members who want to show up for families in our community.

Village Roots works alongside families in Douglas and Sarpy Counties who are facing housing instability. Parents are given support as they work toward steady housing, find employment, and rebuild a sense of normalcy so their children can remain safely with them.

For many families, progress doesn’t come from one big moment. It comes from small steps that start to add up. Someone helping them think through a next step. A little breathing room. People who stay consistent when things feel uncertain.

Recently, one dad moved out of a mentor home and into his own apartment for the first time with his young son. Moments like that don’t happen overnight. They happen because people showed up along the way.

That’s where the community comes in, and our annual golf tournament is one way people step into that. Some sign up a team and make a day of it. Some choose to sponsor and support behind the scenes.

A team of four is $600 and includes 18 holes of golf, carts, breakfast and lunch, great prizes, a drink ticket, and time built in to connect with others throughout the day. It’s a great opportunity to bring coworkers, clients, or friends together for something that’s both fun and meaningful.

It’s an incredibly fun day, but it also means something. The funds raised go directly toward supporting families as they move out of crisis and into stability.
