    Reports to:  Lawn Maintenance Field Manager

    Works closely with: lawn mowing crews, irrigation team, supply yard team, mechanic, operations manager

    Direct reports:  none (potentially 1 in the spring and fall)
    Typical Hours:  Mon-Fri, 7:00am-5:00pm (hours vary based on time of year); some Saturdays

    Dress Code:  uniform

    Requirements

    Desired Experience and Education:

    • High school diploma or GED
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience of lawn chemical/fert application that includes operation of walk behind and ride-on spreaders and aerators
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience operating commercial lawn mowing, trimming, and blowing equipment.
    • Ideal candidate has Nebraska Pesticide Applicators license or must obtain within first 30 days of employment.
    • Experienced with both residential and commercial properties a plus
    • Possess the ability to perform preventative maintenance on mowers and other equipment.
    • Must possess a driver’s license, clean criminal record, and have ability to pass a drug test.
    • Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
    • Physically able to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body
    • Always maintain a positive and supportive attitude
    • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
    • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
    Summary

    Summary:  The Fertilizer Crew Leader is an experienced industry professional who is proficient in all aspects of fertilization, weed control and all lawn care services for both residential and commercial markets.  The main objective is to perform all lawn care applications and functions to maintain proper turf health per the standards and research provided by the University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension Office.  Candidate will require minimal supervision and conduct all jobs in a safe manner and in accordance with our company core values.
