Valerie Newman

I became a financial planner to help my favorite people, my clients. As an estate planning attorney, I noticed I didn’t really get to help people with everything they needed help with. Sure, I created a Trust or settled a Probate, but I didn’t get to stick with my clients and help them through what happens next.

I wanted to see what happened when the beloved-grandchild turned 21 and got their first Trust disbursement; to see how an unexpected inheritance helped a good person go further than she imagined; and to see how proper special needs planning allowed a family to preserve wealth and care for their loved one. Frankly, I was missing out on all the good stuff. I decided to transition to a career where I get to see all the good stuff.
