Honey Sunday Continues 50-Year Omaha Tradition- Volunteers Needed!
OMAHA, Neb., September 22, 2026 — For over 50 years, Honey Sunday has brought Omaha volunteers and the community together to support individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
On Sunday, November 1, 2026, from noon to 4 p.m., Ollie Webb Center, Inc. will continue this tradition and invites individuals, families, businesses, churches, schools, and community groups to help sell 1,800 bottles of honey and raise funds for local programs and services.
Volunteers can sell honey beginning in October through December in their neighborhoods, workplaces, churches, schools and at community events. Volunteers can organize sales, sell door-to-door, or help identify local businesses and community locations where honey can be sold.
Making a Difference
Ollie Webb Center, Inc. is an umbrella agency for Career Solutions, Inc. and The Arc of Omaha, which provide programs, services, and advocacy for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
Honey Sunday helps support programs and services focused on independence, employment, education, friendship, inclusion, and community participation. These opportunities help individuals build skills, pursue employment, develop relationships, and make choices about their own lives.
“Every bottle of honey sold through Honey Sunday represents an investment in people and families in our community,” said Laurie Ackermann, Executive Director of Ollie Webb Center, Inc. “For more than six decades, Omaha-area volunteers have helped make this tradition possible. We invite the community to join us again this year and help us reach our goal of selling 1,800 bottles.”
