    Molding Set Up Technician

    Days: Monday-Friday

    Hours: 7am-3pm during training

    *Any shift will first train on 1st Shift 7a-3p for approximately 6-9 months (or could take less time if they pick up on it quicker). Need a little flexibility on schedule

    2nd shift 3:20pm-11:40pm

    Pay Rate: $18-$22

    Job Description:

    The Mold Set-Up Technician is responsible for installing, removing, and maintaining injection molds in molding machines to support efficient and timely production. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a strong understanding of mold setup procedures to ensure safety, quality, and production standards are met.

    Responsibilities:

    • Install and remove molds on injection molding machines according to production schedules.
    • Set up molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tools to prepare for production runs.
    • Ensure molds are clean, properly aligned, and securely fastened.
    • Perform minor maintenance and troubleshooting of molds and machines.
    • Follow work instructions, safety guidelines, and company procedures during setup.
    • Monitor initial production parts for quality and make adjustments as needed.
    • Communicate with supervisors, quality assurance, and maintenance teams to ensure smooth operations.
    • Maintain accurate records of mold changes, issues, and maintenance performed.

    Requirements and Qualifications:

    • Prior experience in mold setup or injection molding preferred.
    • Strong mechanical skills and understanding of injection molding processes.
    • Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, and technical documents.
    • Comfortable working with hand tools and lifting heavy equipment.
    • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
    • Sit up or sit-down forklift operation
    • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training a plus.
    • Background Check: No felonies

    • Driver’s License
